Trapped!

Well.. its 5 o'clock on a Friday afternonn and it is pouring outside. Most of the people in th building have refrained from going outside in the fear getting drenched. So we are all blissfully trapped inside! I regretted not taking my umbrella along today morning cause 5 mins after I got outside and was walking to the train station, it started raining.

Now I dont regret it cause there would not have been much help with an umbrella anyway. Pretty string wind at 25mph and pouring rain... naa.. an umbrella wud have been useless!

And a colleague of mine showed that at 4.30 pm weather.com predicted clear skies in New York! So much for meteorologists and the millions they get paid(oh yeah they do)!

Its about time...

The issue with Pakistan has really started to bug me! Why would any country want to support terrorism in another country. i mean what would they gain out of it. i mean, its the frekaing 21st century!

Agreed that we have been enemies ever since we were formed, but i cant quite bring myself to understand why, in modern times like these, a country would want to break its neighbour. its just not logical and is totally pointless. I dont believe that things like enmity and the reason that they have lost to us in war three times in a row are reasons enough for any educated and level-minded statesman to spend millions of dollars on bombing another country as opposed to spening on their own.

I mean, India is not 'all-perfect" but i dont see another country in this world which can wage war, has been attacked multiple times and has not drawn first blood. We have been "patient" all this time. But may be it is time we make a point. Draw the line. We have been to looking at "external authorities" to help mend Pakistan's ways and come around. But it just doesnt seem to work. i mean, an attack on the fucking parliament?!??!?! thats way beyond the line and way below the belt.

its about time.....

lost in the city

Well.. first day of job, a lot of talk and say about, but i wont!

living in jersey, commuting to manhattan now thats crappy and i am going to write about that, cause like i say "whining is my birth right!" it always feels good.

so i rented this studio in jersey city. 10 min wlak from the train station that i need to take to manhattan. bought a tv but no cable in the house! bought a dvd.cd player thinking i will pass time thru that but the shitty thing doesnt play vcd's or mp3s! so gonna return it next time i go to walmart.

my landlord comes and tells me yesterday that the road to the left of my house, called monticello avenue, is not a good place to walk and stroll after dark! what crap again! bugger never told me that when i was looking at the place.hmm.. but the road on the right, he tells me, is great for a walk. i suspect he has an indian store on that road..

and today i took the wrong train and ended up 4 miles away from where i was supposed to go. awesome. and it was raining in the morning. since i dont know shit about the subway routes and shcedules in manhattan i thought i will probably take a bus or walk it out on the streets. but got drenched 2 mins after came onto the road.. what the fuck!!

anyways, the good point of today is that i am finally on the net after 3 days and i feel so exhilarated.... and my cubicle is in the corner. i intend on living on cereal till my inventory of milk and honey bunches gets over.

p.s. this soccer world cup has been completely unpredictable.
