Ways to kill time

Well here's a compilation of ways to kill time over the net.. 1. Start off with an online radio to listen to like VH1.com, Yahoo Launch or Hitzradio or something. Entertainment in NEVER complete without music. 2. Did you check your mail? I mean all your emails Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail and whatever. 3. You could play some games on the net. Yahoo games is my favorite. 4. Have a look at whats happenning. Go through the news websites. Take your time to look at sports, international news and entertainment. 5. My favorite. You could go to sites of automobile giants like Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Lexus etc. These sites allow you to build cars according to your specifications. Great thing to do actually. Try it out. 6. Did you forget to log in to your messengers yet? Come on.. 7. Do some online shopping. Buy all the good stuff you ever wanted. Zippo lighters, Real Madrid jerseys you name it.. When it finally comes to entering your credit card number hit the button that looks like "X" in the top right corner of your window. 8. If you have a web page nothing better than to work on making it look all the more fancier. If you have one of those Web Publishing softwares...we are in business here! 9. Check what time it is.. 10. If you still have time, keep blogging. Hope that was useful. ps. did u know that there's a book called "Google for Dummies" for sale online! They also have 3 more books on how to use Google for sale! $30 a piece!!

We Wander

In the seemingly infinite loops of the road we wander, not knowing where we go.
The dusk is at hand but we look for light.
Some befriend us in the turmoil, some we befriend.
Together or one, we wander.

All that could’ve been and all that could be doesn’t change the destiny.
All there is, is the road ahead of us.
Every step we take becomes our first.
Some cross our paths, we cross some.
Flipping coins at crossings, We Wander.

We don’t turn around, what lays behind us scares us more than what lays ahead of us.
The map in our hand has our name on it, that’s all it has.
Unto us, We Wander.

A blog with a view

Found this interesting blog. its a worthy read.. but the comments on it weren't all that pleasing.. Nothing muvh goin on.. have had a total Gujju style garba and dandiya dance thing in Greenville(the closest decent civilization to ours) last week and i had to go for it breaking under the "sentimental" pressure of my roomies.. and voila! i spent 3 hrs standing there.. the gujju chicks were good tho.. now breaking my head head on how to play "connect-four" to finish my term project for this sem..its a good game actually..came across a guy on the net the other day who has done his MS thesis on "how play connect-four perfectly". wonder how i can ever beat his "perfect play" in two weeks..takers to play this can try this at here. and yesterday snkutty tells me that he has signed up for a contest on the web which requires him to write down essays, short stories etc etc. in a month but he has to get 50k words within a month.. well that sure is a staggering number..will be fun to watch how far he comes along.. one of my roommates "pakiya" alias prakash is leaving for penn. today for a job hunt..so having a small farewell for him at our neighbour's place...have got my wireless card for my laptop yesterday so i get to bring my laptop to college from now on.. yippee!! and ya! went to atlanta on a very short trip on sunday to see a movie.. been to atlanta and back in a total of seven hours..didnt even get to go to the downtown there.. what a waste! caught the red sox beating the yankees for the first time in 20 years on wednesday.. didnt expect myself to get involved and engaged in baseball of all games! boohoo! i'm changing!!!! and i dont want to!! thats about everything the round ball on my shoulders can think of.. p.s. it sucks to code in C++ without the MSDN library installed...

The 'Feel Good Factor'

been reading my friend's blog and realised the importance of what cud be called the 'feel good factor'(sorry sonia, let me borrow the term for a while). We all need to have those short sporadic periods of feeling good about one's self. guess as often as once in a fortnight or something. Vineesh anna, i am not syaing that you need to get stress pills or have to go to a shrink. dont get me teh wrong way. BUT YOU SIMPLY NEED TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT BEING YOURSELF EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE! it may be for really ridiculous and trivial reasons. wow! i can make 3 omlets in 5 mins!!aint that awesome! or 'hehe i get that son-of-a-****' suckered every time!' ok no more examples cause its giving a lot of me away but u shud've got the idea by now. coming to the mundane column of my blog, just finished the last midterm of the first phase of my sem. looking forward to a hearty dinner and probably gonna catch some sit-coms if possible. been listening to tamil music lately. especially to Uyirin uyiren. waiting to get bored of them, which i am sure gonna get by the end of the week and i can get back to english. realised lately that you can't enjoy trance or techno music without the required 'freak-out' periods in life. It's been a while since i've touched my Paul Van Dyk cd. well thats about that..

Damn the weekend!..and the weekdays too

been having a real boring weekend..me and my roommates were almost on the verge of dying out of bordom on friday evening..had asboutely nothing to do...finally decided to get some pizza and a movie to improve the situation and the only one we cud get our hands on was "Shaolin Soccer" and we realised after playing that it was in Chinese (without sub-titles too!)..and voila! the god damn cd was so old that all the parts which had martial art sequences in them refused to be played... one of my roommate's cooking turn is on saturday morning and he started making dinner on friday night (4o'clock to be precise) because he didnt want to get up early on saturday morning.... hence, from the above we derive that weekend sucks academic life is turning out to be a drag big time and what i want right now is a paid vacation in mars.. that shud cheer me up i guess. hence, from the above we derive that weekdays suck too. have grown to be a fan of the track "Yellow" by coldplay lately..
