So it goes on.....
Attack of the Librans! Its October and my calendar is again flooded with friends' birthdays. Something I dont get about birthdays. People some how tend to associate them with their identity. Something that is special to them and so very belongs to them . Like the song goes "...we could be heroes, just for one day"...speaking of the track, I should download it.
All said, that day is still very important to them. Why? well.. we don't know.
Its a Saturday evening and my friends (Raj and Anil) and me are at my place. All of us are deeply immersed onto our laptop screens in silence. What are we doing? Anil is checking out "stuff", I am blogging and Raj is typing out his resume. Ya, sad stuff to do on a Saturday night but we are doing all this for the lack of anything else to do. Actually, none of us have the drive to go out and do anything. May be we will in a couple of hours. But for now, we are happy with our share of the web world and the warmth of the indoors.
And before I could finish the above paragraph the silence has been broken and Anil has asked Raj to choose between beer and coffee. Do both have the same effect (refreshing) now? Frankly, I cant tell and wouldn't mind either. And now Anil says Raj's resume is all crap and deletes it. You are getting the drift how the day is going, aren't you? So it goes on.....

Funny...to see you blogging abt remembering birthdays..:p.
Guess I am one of those weird ppl for whom their bday is imp..:). I have no idea why either but I usually start my countdown a month ahead..somehow thats 'MY' day and I expect ppl close to me to treat me as someone special that day...weird, childish, stupid I know..but its a whooole lot of fun for me..:).

My birthday is very important, 'cuz it's a friggin' holiday. No excuse to escape from treating people, but at least I have the power to restrict that to the ones I love and don't have to oblige to arbit losers from the work place. That has kept my birthday celeb a very genuine un-fake thing till date and I am thankful to God (Mom n' Dad also of course, for whatever they did to approximate the situation!) for bringing me out on this date n' in this country!
For others, well it's good for the psyche and morale in general to have a unique day every year to look forward to, and to be treated specially as long as you can share it with the ones you love, sans which it loses relevance. Anyhow I know you never forget birthdays.
